Prayer
In Matthew 21 Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” We want to encourage and support prayer within the body here at Northeast. We want people to develop an intimate relationship with God and each other. At Northeast, we desire to enlist, educate, equip and encourage our body here to devote themselves to prayer, knowing it is powerful and effective. Dependence on God through prayer is foundational to our church and we want to provide multiple opportunities for dependence on prayer to be fostered.
Life’s Healing Choices
We all have hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This 9-week study focuses on finding God’s pathway to wholeness, growth, spiritual maturity, joy and healing. Journey through eight choices on the road to recovery with a small group of men or women and find restoration — and hope! — in God’s truth for your life.
Grief Share
GriefShare is a special twelve-week support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. This group will be led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead.
Counseling & Mentoring
Financial Counseling
The Financial Counseling ministry involves working with individuals or couples who want to improve their financial situation or habits. We can help people in numerous areas, such as putting together budgets, designing strategies to pay off debts, deciding how much they can spend on a home, or planning for college or retirement. We are all stewards of God’s provision in our lives. In Christ, we are called to help people know how to please God in their financial dealings.
Pastoral Counseling
Meeting up to three times to help people discover spiritual solutions to issues where they may have hang-ups. When needed referrals to ministries or counselors are given.
Spiritual Direction
Many people get stuck in their spiritual growth plan or do not have a plan to move forward. Our team is willing to meet with those who need some coaching to help move towards Jesus again.
Compassion & Visitation
Direct Care
There are certain times when people need both financial help and encouragement during a difficult time. The direct care team exists to evaluate and assist in such situations. In Christ, we are called to come alongside, encourage and assist people who are struggling through a difficult situation in their life. This team can direct you to available community resources for employment, housing, food, medical, mental health, and other services.
Emergency Response Team
We help people who are going through natural disasters, emergency crisis situations, or catastrophic loss. Northeast is a preapproved Lighthouse Church with Samaritan’s Purse, a nationwide disaster relief ministry. If a tragedy hit Winnebago County, we are ready to open our doors and welcome workers here.
Hands and Feet – many people from this team have a heart to help people in need when requested with things like yard work, painting, or minor repairs.
Jail Visitation
If you have a loved one in the county jail, we have access to visit them and care for them.
Hospital Visitation
Our team visits people who are in the hospital to encourage them and give them the hope of God’s Word. Our team is glad to meet people before a procedure to pray with them or in an emergency situation as well.
