On Sunday Mornings we gather…
to experience the Big God Story in safe, age-specific environments with our faith community.
Biblical Teaching
Each week, we create space for children to learn who God is and what He has done. Our desire is for each child and family to connect to God, find their place in His Big God Story, and respond to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. We read in Scripture that families are the primary place where discipleship occurs and so our ministry serves as a support to families by equipping them to disciple their children at home.
Age Specific Environments
Our children’s ministry environments are age-based, developmentally appropriate spaces. Everything from lessons to activities to the room itself is specifically curated based on the ages and stages of the children in that space. Our leader-child ratios are also based on the age of children in that space, ensuring that each child is adequately supervised and cared for.
Our 4th-5th graders follow a unique schedule for their age group. When you arrive, you will check in your child at the check-in stations and receive their tag. Next, you and your child will attend service in the auditorium for the worship, communion, and offering so that they can take part in and learn from their family and the faith community. When the sermon starts, a slide will pop up on the screen to dismiss our Bridge students to their service, leaders will be waiting in the lobby from the kids, and we will all walk down to the ministry center where you will pick up your child after the service.
Faith Community
We learn throughout Scripture that God designed us for community, and that we learn and grow from each other when gathering with our faith community. It is in that faith community that we create space for each child to care for each other and worship God together.
Safety
We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment for your child in the following ways:
- We adhere to our Child Protection Policy. This includes high standards for screening our leaders, utilizing background checks and security interviews; ensuring that at least 2 leaders are in each room, one of which must be over the age of 18.
- We use a secure drop-off and pick-up system where every family receives name tags and a pick-up tag with matching numbers each week. The pick-up tag number will be used to match you with your child at pick-up and will be used to page you in the auditorium if needed.
- We have additional volunteers specifically tasked with safety and security. This includes our check-in/out volunteers, who assist with our drop-off and pick-up system, and our Observation Team, who provides additional security throughout the building.
