 LIFE
GROUPS
Life Groups are small groups of people who are striving to glorify
God by meeting together regularly to share, study, support, and
serve each other. Our Life Groups are encouraged to live out true
Christian fellowship with one another. Opportunities for service
in the Life Group Ministry area are as follows:
Leader
- Leaders shepherd their group members by sharing in their
spiritual journey, helping members nurture one another, and facilitating
group meetings.
Host - Hosts are the hospitality arm of the ministry. They
open their home to group members for the weekly meeting and make
sure that everyone feels welcome.
Coach - Coaches shepherd Life Group leaders by sharing in
their spiritual journey, encouraging them in their leadership
role, and helping them maintain the ministry vision.

MOTORCYCLE
CONNECTION
Motor Cycle
Connection is a group formed out of a desire to help people connect
to God by connecting people to people. We provide an environment
where true Christian fellowship can flourish and connections can
happen. Our mutual interest in motorcycles is the catalyst to
help us make these connections. During riding season we either
organize our own rides or we join other local riding organizations.
While we are made up primarily of Christian men, we are very much
open to ladies riding with us and make a special effort to invite
people who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If
you have any questions or would like the ride schedule, contact
Gary Cockeram at 815-877-2362 or 815-742-0941

MEN'S
MINISTRY
Men's Ministry provides opportunities for men to connect with
other men in non-threatening ways for the purpose of building
relationships that encourage one another in our Christian walk.
We believe that spiritually encouraging relationships are key
to growing a relationship with Jesus. Why? Because relationships
help foster trust, accountability, vulnerability, and discipleship
in your faith walk.
WOMEN'S
MINISTRY
The womens ministry provides different opportunities a chance
for women to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord, and to connect
with other women who are growing in their faith. Some of the opportunities
include the annual womens retreat which normally takes place
in October. The weekend features worship, teaching, breakout sessions,
small group experiences, recreation, and the enjoyment of spending
a weekend away with like-minded women in a great retreat setting.
Service opportunities include help with retreat promotion, coordination,
and registration as well as helping in various ways at the retreat
facilities.
Another
opportunity is the womens Bible studies which take place
during the school calendar on Tuesday mornings and Tuesday nights.
These involve group teaching and breakout sessions discussing
the group teaching. Service opportunities include help with promotion,
coordination as well as helping in various ways during the gatherings.
There are also special events that take place at various times
of the year. Some events include Mother-Daughter Banquet, Christmas
Banquet, Spring Banquet, etc. Service opportunities include help
with promotion, coordination as well as helping in various ways
during the events.
SENIORS
ON THE GO
This ministry is designed for those 65 and over. Its purpose is
to communicate and share Gods love to those in the church
family, and to those outside the church through serving, not being
served, and through giving, not receiving. In pursuit of this
purpose, Seniors-on-the-Go will continue to create an awareness
about the value of, the need for, and the role of senior adults
in the church. Seniors adults should be seen as assets, not liabilities,
as givers, not consumers, and as people in need of evangelistic
outreach. Some of the programs of the ministry include the TNT
Sunday Morning Bible Study, the Thursday Bible Study and Luncheon,
and the Motor Coach Trips.
SOFTBALL
TEAM
Northeast has a team in the United Park / Rockford Area Churches
Men's Softball League. We always play on Monday night at SportScore
1 off of North Main Street. The league currently has 32 teams.
We play games that start at 6:00, 6:40, 7:40 & 8:40. We play
in the slow-pitch league with an upper and lower division split
to keep the competition even. There is a tournament at the end
of the season.
